Well Em said to post more than once a decade so maybe every other month is good.    So here is what is going on with us.  We have moved and are settling in.  Nicole and Ty are still living in the living room as their rooms are not yet finished.  We were fortunate in having a friend from our old church come down with his new business of contracting and building their rooms.  Now we are waiting for the drywall finisher to come back and finish their rooms.  We are hoping their rooms will be ready by the end of the month.  I am finding I am busier now than before and I am not even doing any church things....yet.  Speaking of church we are still looking for a replacement for Harvest, which by the way is not easy to find.  The contemporary church had dead people and the nice people church had preaching that was bad.  So we are off to a new church this weekend to seek our fortunes.  But despite our lack of church and otherwise busy schedules, we love it here!  If ever anyone is down this way, do stop in for a visit.  We/I love company.

So what is up with all of you?  Girls remember to give Sean Bowser a hard time when you see him.  The Yankees are in the playoffs and his beloved Red Sox aren't.  Which means they won't have a chance to win the World Series.  I had wanted to call him and harass him about it but I had long lost his number, when God had me clean out my purse and there was his number (too bad I couldn't find it when I needed to use it to have him help us load our moving boxes, which is why I had gotten his number in the first place)  But anyway....God let me find the number and I was able to rub it in from long distance the fact that his team is not now nor will it ever be as good as my team ------The New York Yankees!  So help me out and tease him about it.

How's everyone enjoying Cyber School?  Is everyone doing it this year?  Or who isn't...that might be a shorter list.

Urs, Em, Shelly and PMSmama...how goes things with all of you?  Those who are mamas to be or may be adding to their families, how is that all going?  Catch me up.

Well things are going good for us.  We may be back up in Kittanning for a suprise party for David's mom in November so hopefully we will see everyone then.  Catch ya'll later.

Here's what has happened.  Remember that big rain back in June that flooded everywhere?  Well it caused a leak in our roof, which I informed our landlord about.  It then caused the ceiling to fall on Nicole's bed and now she has been without her room for a little over a month.  Our landlord still hasn't fixed the roof.

We went to Lake Mont Amusement Park in Altoona with David's parents.  The kids loved it!  I had fun too.  I like the tilt-a-whirl and the Octopus.

I also went on the Harvest Camping Trip.  It was a good time and I highly recommend going on it.  We even survived the wild storm.  Yes another experience builder.

Now for different news that will effect the near future.  (drumroll please)

We are moving.  I was talking to my mom on Tuesday about her watching my kids while Dave and I attend the Worship Conference, when she mentioned that there was a teaching position at the school she works at teaching High School Bible.  Wednesday David applied and was hired yesterday (Thursday).  His first day of work will be August 22nd.  So now we are quickly trying to  find a place to live and pack and get moved by then.  If you think of it, please pray.  I know God will provide, but I am still going to ask.  We are excited about this and yet sad at the same time.  I love Harvest and all the friends we have made.  I will greatly miss this church and it's people.

I suppose I could keep posting to stay in touch and do the occasional visit.  I will really miss the music, singing and the Qrew.  But gotta go where God sends.  So off to Hagerstown, MD (or it's surrounding area) we go.

After some prodding I have decided to post.  I think I haven't posted because I really don't have much to say, can you believe that.  Anyway.... So since I have last posted what  has happened.

Well I turned another year younger.  I have decided as of this year I will start counting backwards for my birthdays.  And being as I am now a year younger I went away to Harrisburg with my friend Rhonda to an overnight scrapbooking event with David's sister and people from her church.  I had a great time!  I have now decided that we should do something like it at Harvest.  So I am working on having a craft night for the ladies on June 23rd.  Just come on out and bring the supplies to your favorite craft, scrapbooking, crocheting, needlepoint, quilting whatever it is.  Harvest is a big place and sometimes you don't meet and get to know the people in it just by coming on Sunday and Wednesday, so this will be a kind of small group where we can share time with people who have similar interests.  Anyway that is my plug for the event.  I am a bit nervous because I am hesitant to be the person in charge of something especially by myself, but I suppose I should stretch myself.  Speaking of being crafty, Numa Jill Joy made me these cool earrings for my birthday...she is so talented!  Thanks NJJ!

Speaking of stretching myself, I am going to start working with Monica and try playing the congas at church on the weekends I don't sing.  I have played them before but don't feel confident doing it for church.  This will also make Chris happy because I won't be with the other singers and chatting in between songs at practice, not that I am the only one, but I will do my part to help practice go smoother.

Well Em and Toad I have posted.  I know this will just make your week so much more exciting.  Em have fun in your class and see you Sunday.

The Ladies Retreat Rocked!

This past weekend I went to the first Harvest Ladies Retreat.  I had a blast.  Needless to say...if it is needless to say, then why do we say it?...anyway, I am exhausted today as I have stayed up too late having a great time with everyone.  They say what happens at the Ladies Retreat stays at the Ladies Retreat, but I am going share some things.

First let me say that Emily can dance!  She really is black.  Ask her to dance for you, it is great!  You go Em.  I saw another side of Tammy Titus, has anyone seen DEBBIE!  Poor Brigitte, she is missing her socks and other clothing.  Does anyone know what happened to them?  It wasn't me.  At this time I would like to say hi to Emily, Ursula and Shelly.  Look at my hand in the group picture.  I had a great time singing in the concert and singing Wonderful, Merciful Savior with Nancy Jo.  Then there was the wonderful facial, foot massage and hand massage.  I received an education from Em, Urs and Shel.  I am not sure I wanted it, but I now know things I didn't before.  Did I mention Em can dance? Can't touch this.  My roomates Tammy and Jill were great!  Then there was the question of Amanda's upbringing.  Joni was funny and we got a glimpse of why Amanda is like she is.  We also went shopping and Amanda and Jeannette tried on prom gowns.  Jeannette still has purple sequins stuck to her jeans.  By the way ladies of the shopping spree, I rode home with Mindy and Sally and we stopped at the Berry Farm and I sampled the strawberries and glaze...it was awesome.  We should have listened to Jill and stopped.

Besides all the fun and there was a lot of that and the pampering which was great, there was great teaching and sharing.  Thanks Lorrie and the rest of the team for putting this together.  I would definitely recommend it to others and go again.  I learned things spiritually and got to know my sisters in Christ better.  As a college professor of mine used to say....A Good Time had by All!   ---------Funky Fresh
